Cloudlit: Fairy Tales

Cloudlit reads classic fairy tales aloud to children – for falling asleep, listening and reading along. Tales by the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen and other classics, gently retold for children, with a calm voice and lovingly made pictures. LISTEN, READ ALONG OR READ ALONE - Listen, read along or read alone: sit back while the voice tells the story, follow every word as it lights up to learn to read, or read quietly and have a single page read aloud when needed. The voice speed is adjustable. - Every story is read aloud, and the spoken word lights up. - Syllable colors: alternating colors help children learn to read. - Reading line: if you like, only the line being read stays bright. - Four age groups from 3 to 10 and two reading levels: from listening to reading along to reading on their own. FOR BEDTIME - Calm bedtime stories with soft pictures. - Sleep timer: the voice fades out gently at the time you choose. - Favorites: collect favorite fairy tales with one tap on the heart. - Downloaded stories play without internet, on the go or on vacation. YOUR OWN STORIES - Story workshop: your child picks pictures for a hero, a companion, a place, a mood and a wonder, and the owl writes a brand-new bedtime story from them. - Made for children who can't read yet: a calm voice guides every step, with nothing to type and no name to enter. - Parents stay in charge: every new story starts behind the parental gate and stays locked until a parent has read and released it. - Every story can be reported or deleted, and a calm narrator voice reads it aloud. For ages 3 and up, to share with a parent. SAFE FOR KIDS - No ads, no account, no tracking. - Settings, the purchase page and links are behind a parental gate that reads its question aloud. - Six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. TRY AND UNLOCK Three fairy tales per language can be used without a purchase. All other stories come with a monthly or yearly subscription. New fairy tales arrive without an app update. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in the subscription settings of your account. Both subscriptions include the story workshop: up to 6 new stories per month with either plan, with no carry-over to the next month. HOW THE STORIES ARE MADE The stories retell public-domain fairy tales; texts, pictures and voices are reviewed by us. Workshop stories are created automatically from the chosen pictures, checked automatically and released by a parent before the child hears them.
