Women safety app: shake for SOS, a loud siren, flashing light and your location.
Walking home late, alone in a cab, or stuck somewhere dark? Shake your phone three times. Kelvin flashes SOS on your torch, sounds a loud siren, and opens a help message with your current location for up to three people you trust. You press Send.
A women safety app, a personal safety alarm and a bright flashlight in one. Made for women and anyone who goes out alone: late cab and auto rides, dark streets, hostel and PG walks home, night shifts, college, treks, and the moment your phone is at 5%.
SAFETY SOS
• Shake to SOS: three hard shakes while the app is open, with 3 seconds to cancel an accident
• One tap on the red SOS button, or on the home-screen widget
• Loud siren that plays even on silent (switch it off if you need to stay quiet)
• Your location as a Google Maps link, with its accuracy
• The help message opens in your own SMS app, addressed to all your contacts at once
• One tap to WhatsApp or call each contact
• One tap to your country's emergency number (112, 911, 999 and more)
• The screen flashes red too, so you can be seen even from a phone with no LED
• "Send a test message" so your family knows what an SOS from you looks like
A BRIGHT TORCH, TOO
• Bright LED with brightness control on phones that support it
• Strobe from 1 to 9 Hz, a looping SOS signal, and Morse code
• Screen light in seven colours with a warmth slider, for soft light or a video-call ring light
• Quick Settings tile and home-screen widget: light without opening the app
• Works fully offline: in a power cut, with no data, and with no SIM
YOUR PRIVACY
• The torch needs no permissions at all.
• Location is asked for only if you switch on "Send my location" for SOS. It is read only during an SOS and goes only into the message you send.
• No SMS, call, contacts, camera, microphone or storage permission. Kelvin never sends a message by itself: you see it and you press Send.
• Your emergency contacts stay on your phone. No account, no sign-up, and we run no servers.
• The free version shows one small banner ad. A one-time Pro purchase removes it and the ad code never starts.
Kelvin is not a replacement for emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first.
