Exam'1, the essential tool for preparing for the amateur radio exam Exam'1 allows you to take practice exams to prepare for the ANFR amateur radio operator's certificate. This application was developed by Maxime F4IQN in partnership with the Haute Île radio club, F6KGL-F5KFF, and F6GPX, who created the question set. Exam Overview The amateur radio operator's certificate consists of two parts. The Regulations section lasts 15 minutes and contains 20 questions. The Technical section lasts 30 minutes and also contains 20 questions. To pass, candidates must obtain a score of at least 10 out of 20 on both parts. The scoring system is as follows: 1 point for a correct answer and no points for an unanswered or incorrect answer. What is an amateur radio operator? An amateur radio operator is someone who has received official authorization to communicate by radio with other legally authorized individuals around the world. Amateur radio operators are people "interested in radio technology purely for personal enjoyment and without financial gain." There are over 2 million amateur radio operators worldwide. The majority of amateur radio operators are not professionals: they come from all walks of life and professions. The magic of radio waves is their shared passion. Technical Information The application's question database is downloaded upon first launch (approximately 30MB of questions and images will be downloaded). This may take some time if your internet connection is poor. The application functions offline after this. To update the question database after the initial installation, select the option in the menu at the top right of the home screen. New questions are generally published every three months.
