Step away. Keep building. PadRemote AI connects your tablet or phone back to your own development computer, so you can carry on with work already in progress. Your projects, source code and signed-in AI tools stay on that computer. The tablet is simply another screen for it, so you never have to move your whole environment across. ■ What you can do ・Drive the AI terminals on your computer, such as Claude Code and Codex: hand over the next step, then leave your desk ・Keep one live terminal per project and per AI tool, so switching never interrupts work that is running ・Losing the connection does not end the terminal on your computer; come back and pick it up ・Browse and edit project files, and review Git diffs and commit history ・Run Git operations and terminal commands ・Dictate instead of typing: your own computer turns speech into text for you to confirm before sending ・Get a notification when the AI finishes ■ How it connects The tablet and the computer talk over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection, and project content is not relayed through our servers: the coordinator only helps the two ends find each other and holds no key to decrypt anything. Pairing needs the connection code shown on the computer and the password you set there. ■ What you need first ・A Windows, macOS or Linux development computer running PadRemote Host, which is a free download ・That computer kept powered on, online and awake while you work ・For the AI features, Claude Code, Codex or similar installed and signed in on that computer, used with your own account and quota. This app includes no AI usage of its own ・For voice input, whisper.cpp and a speech model set up on that computer ■ Before you start ・The terminal runs with your own account's full permissions on that computer. That is deliberate, not a sandbox, so connect only to a computer you trust. ・Some corporate firewalls, symmetric NAT or networks that block UDP may prevent a direct connection. General releases use no relay server, so try another network if that happens. ・Uninstalling this app does not delete the projects and AI history on your computer; those remain yours to manage.
