About this app
Pause before you scroll. Gentle limits, app lock and a Reels & Shorts blocker.
Pawse helps you scroll less without white-knuckling it. Pick the apps that pull you in, set limits that feel doable, and let Biscuit the fox step in with a gentle pause before the scroll takes over. WHAT PAWSE DOES • Launch pauses Open a tracked app and Pawse shows a short, friendly check-in first. It's enough of a beat to ask yourself whether you really meant to open it. • Time budgets, set up front Choose how many minutes you want before the feed starts choosing for you. Pawse reminds you when your time is up. • Daily limits that feel doable Pawse looks at how much you use each app now and suggests a limit a little below that. You can change it anytime with one dial. • App lock when today's time is up Turn on the lock for any app and Pawse covers it once you've used today's time. Your budget refreshes at midnight. • Reels & Shorts blocker Pause short-form video in Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Snapchat. Block it completely, or allow a few a day. • Stats that make sense See today, this week and this month at a glance, day by day and app by app, plus the time you saved. • Streaks and badges Keep a streak going for each app, earn badges, and let Biscuit cheer you on along the way. • Sync across devices Sign in to keep your goals, lock and Reels settings in step on all your phones. Sync is optional. WHY IT WORKS Pawse is built on simple habit science: a small moment of friction at the right time does more than a strict block you'll end up deleting. PRIVACY Your detailed usage history stays on your phone unless you turn on cloud sync. Pawse has no ads and never sells your data. PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED • Usage access, to see which app is open and for how long. • Display over other apps, to show pauses, budgets and the lock. • Accessibility (optional), for the Reels & Shorts blocker. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE Pawse uses Android's AccessibilityService API to provide its Reels & Shorts blocking. Specifically, the service detects short-form video sections (Reels, Shorts and similar feeds) in apps you've chosen to limit, shows a pause screen over them, and takes you out of that section when you choose to leave. It is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off anytime. Pawse is free. Start with one app and one pause.
