Minesweeper.free is the classic minesweeper puzzle game, made for your phone. Clear the minefield with logic: tap to reveal, press and hold to plant a flag, and tap a number to chord. Every board runs on your phone, so the game plays fully offline, with nothing to sign up for. CLASSIC MINESWEEPER DIFFICULTY LEVELS • Beginner: 9 x 9 with 10 mines, a quick warm-up. • Intermediate: 16 x 16 with 40 mines, the classic middle game. • Expert: 16 x 30 with 99 mines, for real minesweeper experts. • Custom board: choose from 5 to 40 rows and columns and set your own mine count. NO-GUESS BOARDS Nothing is more frustrating than a 50/50 guess at the end of a long game. With no-guess mode on, the app checks each new board with a logical solver and keeps it only if logic alone can clear it from your first tap. When a board passes, the status line tells you it is a no-guess board. Prefer old-school luck? Turn no-guess boards off in Settings. A SAFE FIRST TAP, EVERY TIME Mines are placed only after your first tap, never on that cell or the cells around it, so every game opens up an area to work from. CHORDING, FLAG MODE AND LONG-PRESS FLAGS • Tap a covered cell to reveal it. • Press and hold to place or remove a flag, with a short vibration so you feel it. • Turn on flag mode when you want every tap to place a flag. • Chording: tap a number that already has all its flags around it to open every other neighbor in one move, just like the desktop classic. • Hint: stuck? The hint names a cell that is safe to reveal. ZOOM AND PAN FOR BIG BOARDS Pinch to zoom into Expert and large custom boards, drag to move around, and tap the fit button to see the whole minefield again. On a tall phone screen the wide Expert board is shown turned, so the cells stay big enough to tap. DAILY MINESWEEPER CHALLENGE A new daily board every day, an intermediate puzzle built from the date. Clear it to fill in the calendar, grow your daily streak and keep track of how many daily boards you cleared this month. BEST TIMES AND STATISTICS For every difficulty you get games played, games won, win rate, best time, current win streak and longest streak. Beat your best time and the game tells you. Statistics stay on your phone and can be reset at any time. RESUME WHERE YOU LEFT OFF Close the app in the middle of an Expert game and come back later: the board, your flags and the timer are saved, and the timer stays paused while you are away. Each board size keeps its own game in progress. MADE FOR PHONES AND TABLETS • Light and dark theme, or follow the system setting. • The classic gray board with the familiar colored numbers, and a calm slate board in dark mode. • Portrait and landscape layouts, with room to spare on tablets. • TalkBack support: every cell reads its row, column and state, so the minefield can be played by ear. • Large text friendly menus and controls. • Launcher shortcuts for the daily board, an Expert board and your statistics. PRIVACY Minesweeper.free has no internet permission. There are no accounts, no tracking and no analytics. Your settings, statistics and saved games stay on your phone. HOW TO PLAY MINESWEEPER Each number tells you how many of the eight cells around it hide a mine. Use the numbers to work out which cells are safe and which hold mines, flag the mines, and open everything else. You win when every safe cell is open.
