AsapRadar: Haze & Air Quality

Every morning, AsapRadar tells you what the air is like where you are — like a weather forecast, but for haze and air pollution. "Good air, safe without a mask." Or: "Unhealthy air, wear an N95." Before you leave the house, not after. AsapRadar is NOT a government app. It is made by an independent developer and is not affiliated with, and does not represent, Indonesia's Ministry of Environment, BMKG, BNPB or any government agency. The official source of every data set is listed under "Official data sources" below. MORNING AIR BRIEFING — FREE FOR EVERYONE • Air quality (ISPU) from the nearest official Indonesian monitoring station — or a Copernicus model estimate where there is none — at the hour you choose • Plain categories: Good, Moderate, Unhealthy, Very Unhealthy, Hazardous • Real advice: whether you need a mask, whether outdoor exercise is a good idea • A "Send a test notification" button in Settings to prove notifications actually arrive HAZE AND FIRE RADAR AsapRadar joins four sources that are normally kept apart: • Active fire hotspots from NASA FIRMS satellites, updated hourly • Wind direction and speed from Open-Meteo, calibrated against BMKG • Indonesia's Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) and the OpenAQ network • Reports from people who are on that road right now From those it projects where smoke from forest and land fires is drifting, then intersects that with your route — the actual road, not a straight line. FOR COMMUTERS AND RIDERS • Save your commute and see estimated visibility along its whole length • See the haziest stretch before you reach it • File a road report in one tap, with a photo if you like • Compare several routes to find the cleanest one RIDER REPORTS A model is good for the broad picture, but somebody standing on the road is always more accurate. Nearby reports are merged so no single person can tilt the picture, and each lasts three hours. Inappropriate photos can be reported, and their sender blocked, straight from the photo. ASAPRADAR PLUS (OPTIONAL) A Rp 10,000 monthly subscription for families: watch up to 5 routes at once — the office, the children's school, your parents' home — plus an alarm when a satellite finds a new fire within 5 km of a route. Renews automatically through Google Play; cancel any time. Data comes from the public sources above and may be delayed or differ from official announcements. Trust your own eyes first, and the official announcements from BMKG and BNPB. Mask and outdoor-activity tips are general guidance, not medical advice; if you have a health condition, follow your doctor. PRIVACY • No account. No email, no password, no sign-up. • Location is read only while the app is open. No background tracking. • For the morning briefing the server keeps only an area rounded to about 11 km. • Photos and reports are deleted automatically after three hours. • No ads and no analytics SDK.
