Clone, browse, commit, merge and rebase Git repositories on your Android device.
RepoSurfer is a mobile client for browsing, syncing, and working in Git repositories — right from your phone or tablet. FEATURES • Clone over HTTPS (username/password or personal access token) or SSH (imported key) • Browse the file tree, including uncommitted and untracked changes, at any branch, tag, or commit • Rename, move, copy, and delete files and folders right from the browser • Open any file in another app on your device straight from the browser • View commit history and per-commit diffs • Create, rename, delete and push branches, and delete them on the remote • Merge, rebase and cherry-pick, with conflicts resolved in the app — take either side or edit the file, then continue, skip or abort • Stash changes, discard them, or reset a branch to any commit • Create, push and delete tags • Stage changes, write a commit message, and commit • Push and pull; a pull that cannot fast-forward tells you how far the histories have diverged and offers merge or rebase • Watch clone, pull and push progress file by file, and cancel an operation that is taking too long • Choose where each repository is checked out, including an SD card when one is present • "Save to RepoSurfer" in the Android share sheet — send a file from any app straight into a repo and folder of your choice, naming it however you like Built for real repositories, not just demos — RepoSurfer talks directly to your Git servers using JGit, the same well-established library behind many desktop Git tools. PRIVACY & SECURITY Credentials (passwords, personal access tokens, and SSH keys) are stored encrypted on-device using the Android Keystore, separately from your repository list and app settings — they are never bundled with app data backups or synced anywhere. OPEN SOURCE RepoSurfer is free and open source under the GPL-3.0 license. Contributions, bug reports, and feature requests are welcome. WHAT'S NOT HERE YET RepoSurfer focuses on everyday Git work. Not yet included: Git submodules, and OAuth login flows for GitHub/GitLab apps (personal access tokens and basic auth work today).
