BusySMS no longer asks for permission to make phone calls. It used to offer to look up a SIM's own number by dialling your carrier's "my number" code for you, which needed that permission. If your carrier doesn't tell the app your number, you now type it once and we prove it by texting a code and watching it arrive on that SIM. The app asks only to receive and read verification messages, on the SIMs you switch on.

BusySMS carries the verification messages your own phone receives across to the other devices and systems you own — a web dashboard, your own scripts, a browser extension on your computer. It is a cross-device transfer tool for your own messages. The phones are yours, the SIMs are yours, and nothing anyone else receives is ever in reach. It is not a shared or rented number pool.
