Analyze signal, scan channels, test WiFi speed and audit network security.
WiFi Lab turns your phone into a professional WiFi analyzer, signal meter, speed test, and site survey tool — everything you need to diagnose a slow router, find dead zones, or compare Wi-Fi channels in one app. Built by network engineers. Free. No ads. No account required. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ▸ WHY WiFi Lab • Real WiFi signal strength meter (RSSI, SNR, dBm) • Scan every 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz WiFi network in range • Find the least congested channel with AI recommendations • Run a real speed test (download, upload, ping, jitter) — pick your server • Walk a room-by-room blind-spot survey with heat colours • Audit your WiFi security (WPA3, WPS, rogue AP checks — graded A to F) • See every device on your LAN with vendor names • Ping, traceroute, DNS lookup, port scan, SSL check — all built in • One-tap PDF diagnostic report to send your ISP or IT team ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ▸ WHO IT'S FOR • Home users chasing weak WiFi in one room • Renters checking a landlord's WiFi before signing • IT technicians doing quick site walks • RF engineers who want real KPIs without a laptop • Anyone tired of "it worked yesterday" ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ▸ KEY FEATURES WiFi Analyzer & Signal Meter Live RSSI, SNR, channel width, band (2.4/5/6 GHz), security type, BSSID and vendor for every network in range. Signal history graph with anomaly detection. WiFi Channel Analyzer Waterfall chart across the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. AI-driven best-channel picker that reads congestion in real time. WiFi Speed Test True multi-thread HTTP throughput against Ookla-compatible servers. Manual server picker — choose Wellington, Auckland, Sydney or the lowest-latency server automatically. Reports download, upload, ping, jitter, packet loss and public IP / ISP name. Blind Spot Survey Walk your home tapping the map to record signal at each spot. Instant colour-coded heat map shows dead zones and weak areas. WiFi Security Audit Grades your network A–F across 8 checks: encryption strength, WPS, default SSID naming, hidden network flag, rogue AP detection and more. Every issue comes with a fix guide. Device Scanner ARP scan of every device on the LAN. Offline OUI database identifies each vendor (Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi, HP printers, IoT gear). Network Diagnostics Ping, traceroute, DNS lookup, port scan, SSL certificate check, IP calculator and WHOIS — a full network toolkit. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ▸ PRIVACY-FIRST • 100% offline scans — nothing about your networks leaves the phone • No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDK • OUI vendor lookup runs fully offline • Only the speed test contacts the internet (Cloudflare / Ookla) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ▸ PERMISSIONS WiFi Lab needs Location permission because Android requires it for any app that reads WiFi scan results (Google's rule, not ours). We never track your location — we only use the permission to scan WiFi.
