Empower & Link

Empower & Link is the internal staff app for Empower and Link, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Colliers, West Virginia. This app is for our employees and authorized volunteers. Accounts are created by an administrator. There is no way to register inside the app, and the app has nothing to display to someone without an account. WHAT STAFF USE IT FOR Staff who already use the Empower & Link web dashboard use this app to reach the same work from a phone: - see the work assigned to them and what is due - get a notification when something is assigned or falls due - open that item directly from the notification - update the records they are responsible for - reach the same reports and program information available on the web HOW IT WORKS The app is a secure shell around the Empower & Link web application. Screens are loaded over HTTPS from empowerandlink.org each time the app is used. The app does not keep a copy of the organization's records on the phone. SECURITY - Signing in is required. Sessions end after a period of inactivity. - Administrators can require a second factor at sign-in. - Staff can lock the app behind the phone's own fingerprint, face or PIN, so an unlocked phone is not an unlocked record. - Notifications say only what kind of item changed. They never contain a person's name or any detail about them, because a notification can appear on a lock screen in public. - The app's contents are hidden from screenshots and from the recent-apps switcher from the moment it launches. Staff can turn that off temporarily in Settings when they need to record a screen. ACCOUNTS - Accounts are issued and withdrawn by Empower & Link administrators. - A staff member can request deletion of their own account from Settings inside the app, or at https://empowerandlink.org/account-deletion - Privacy policy: https://empowerandlink.org/privacy Empower & Link is a case-management tool for staff.
