Private Dictation is an offline voice-to-text app designed to make private on-device AI dictation simple. Speech recognition runs directly on your Android device without cloud transcription, an account, ads, or a recurring subscription. The app is translated into 18 languages. Use multilingual Whisper for offline dictation across supported languages, or choose Moonshine for an additional English-only offline option. Choose your language, select the model that fits your phone, tap DICTATE, and speak. PRIVATE AI DICTATION — ON YOUR DEVICE Private Dictation combines a simple interface with multiple local speech-recognition models, streaming transcription, optional transcript refinement, saved notes, linked audio, editing, backup, and export tools. Each model explains its size, expected accuracy, and speed trade-offs so you can select the best fit for your phone.
