PLace: attractions in Poland

PLace puts over 150,000 attractions in Poland in one app. The search, place pages and your lists all work without an internet connection. Castles, museums, parks, viewpoints, playgrounds, theme parks and trails — the entire database sits on your phone. In the mountains and in the forest, wherever the signal ends, you can still find places nearby, read about them and use your lists. WHAT YOU GET • Over 150,000 places across Poland, in seven categories • 16,000 descriptions from Wikipedia and over 17,000 photos • A map that groups places — the closer you look, the more detail appears • Filters: for children, indoors, free entry, wheelchair access, not yet visited • A search that forgives typos — "malbrok" finds Malbork • Opening hours, website, phone and accessibility information YOUR LISTS • Save the places you want to visit • Mark the ones you have seen and collect points — a castle counts for far more than a playground • Earn badges as you pass each threshold • Mark a place while you are standing there and it gets a confirmation VISITORS' RATINGS • Been there? Rate it: recommend or don't recommend • Only people who confirmed their visit on the spot can rate — every place shows two numbers, not stars from random strangers • The "Recommended" switch on the map shows what visitors recommend most • A "Most recommended in Poland" ranking on the Discover screen LEADERBOARDS • Explorers — points for places where you confirmed your visit • Contributors — points for accepted places and photos • This month and all time • Joining is optional — we only show your nickname and score ADD PLACES AND PHOTOS • Something missing from the map? Add it — with a description and photos • Been to a place? Add your photo of it — once reviewed, everyone sees it • A person reviews every submission • Sign with a nickname if you like — or not at all • Adding requires an account: 5 places and 5 photos a month, 5 a day with premium AN ACCOUNT — OPTIONAL • The map, search and lists work in full without one • An account adds a backup of your lists, ratings, leaderboards and adding places and photos • You create it with your Google account and delete it in the same place PREMIUM • The free version shows Google ads • Buy premium once: no ads, 5 new places and 5 photos a day instead of 5 a month, and your submissions are reviewed first WHAT NEEDS AN INTERNET CONNECTION • Place photos and the Google base map — with no signal the pins are still there, but the background may be grey • Ads, signing in, syncing your lists, ratings, leaderboards, the recommended map and sending submissions • Everything else works offline: the search, place pages, your lists and badges WHAT PLace DOES NOT DO • It does not sell your data • It does not track your location • Without an account it sends none of your data to us To be straight with you: the map is drawn by the Google Maps library and ads are shown by the Google ads library — both send technical device data to Google. We say so plainly in the privacy policy. WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM Places come from OpenStreetMap under the ODbL licence and from PLace users. Descriptions come from Wikipedia under CC BY-SA, photos from Wikimedia Commons — each one with its author and licence shown next to it.
