Solve the sum. Save the colony! Cartoon aliens are buzzing the Mars colony, and only maths can stop them. Maths & Martians is a space adventure for children in Reception to Year 6 (ages 4 to 11), where every right answer knocks out an alien ship's shields. HOW IT PLAYS • Pick a role: Pilot, Engineer or Navigator. Each has its own special move. • Fly missions of five alien waves, ending in a mothership boss. • Every mission completed adds a building to your Mars colony. • Earn crystals to spend on hats, backpacks, paint jobs, colony decorations and space pets. Crystals are earned by playing; they can't be bought. • Miss once and you get another try. Miss twice and the game shows the working, so there's no guessing your way through. THE MATHS Questions follow the National Curriculum in England, year by year: • Counting, number bonds, adding and taking away, doubles and halves • Times tables up to 12 × 12, and division facts • Money, fractions and telling the time, each with their own missions Facts your child gets wrong come back more often until they stick. TIMES TABLES CHECK PRACTICE For Year 4 and up: 25 questions from the 2 to 12 times tables, 6 seconds each, set up like the real Multiplication Tables Check. Free for everyone.
