Translate subtitles, edit text and timing, and export SRT, VTT and more.
SubTranslate is a subtitle translator and editor. Translate SRT, VTT, ASS and other subtitle files into another language, then review and edit the results in one app. Use built-in or connect your own OpenRouter API key. Translate a single subtitle file or several files together, including mixed formats. Keep the original text alongside the translation with bilingual export. Fine-tune translated lines, adjust subtitle timing and preview your work with a video before saving or sharing your subtitle files. KEY FEATURES • Translate subtitle files with built-in AI • Use your own OpenRouter API key and choose a translation model • Import SRT, VTT, ASS, SSA and other supported subtitle formats • Select multiple files, including different formats, for batch translation • Preview subtitles alongside a video from your device • Edit original text and translated lines • Adjust cue start and end times • Add, split and merge subtitle cues • Shift subtitle timing and undo edits • Translate missing lines • Export subtitle files with optional bilingual output • Keep drafts in the app and return to them later • No SubTranslate account required SUBTITLE TRANSLATOR Choose your source and target languages and translate all subtitle lines or just the lines that still need a translation. You can also connect your own OpenRouter API key and select a model for translation. SUPPORT FOR POPULAR SUBTITLE FORMATS Work with SRT, WebVTT, ASS/SSA, SBV, SubViewer, MicroDVD, TTML/DFXP and SAMI files. Import an individual subtitle file or bring several supported formats into the same batch. BATCH SUBTITLE TRANSLATION Select multiple subtitle files through Import to open them together in Batch Translate. Choose your translation settings and output folder, then process your files together. Mixed supported formats can be included in one batch. SUBTITLE EDITOR AND TIMING PREVIEW Attach a video from your device to check your subtitles in context. Play the video, review the cues and adjust when each line starts and ends. Edit the text, split or merge cues, or shift timing to improve synchronization. EXPORT SUBTITLE FILES Choose a supported subtitle format and save or share your finished work. Enable bilingual export to keep the original line with its translation. The output is a subtitle file that you can use with compatible video players and editing tools. KEEP YOUR DRAFTS Projects and drafts stay in the app so you can continue editing later. No SubTranslate account is required. The optional OpenRouter service requires your own API key. HOW TO USE SUBTRANSLATE 1. Import one subtitle file or select several for Batch Translate. 2. Choose your translation engine and target language. 3. Translate the subtitles and review the text. 4. Attach a video if you want to check and adjust timing. 5. Choose your subtitle format and export or share the result.
