One of the Greatest Game of All Time Finds a New Home Everything is perfect from the music, Pixel Art, Level Design, Secrets to be found, combat, rare drops and so much more. This game is near perfections. A classic that refined a genre and it was never the same again. Perfect down to the last pixel.
Solid Port The game runs very well and has good controller support. It’s perfect on my iPad with a PlayStation controller!
This Port Needs Fixed, Like Years Ago My main complaints about this version of the game include: You have to hold up or down on the control stick to see the map, when using the select button is standard. There’s no way to change the game’s aspect ratio, let alone get rid of the border to make the game screen slightly bigger. The game over screen only lets you skip it when it feels like it, making dying over and over again when you hit a rough spot feel like hell. I’m grateful this port even has controller support, but these complaints ruin what would be my only ideal way to play Symphony of the Night, especially since I don’t own a PSP, and the fact there’s no port of this game for the Switch.
Amazing fun - bad touchscreen hitboxes This is amazing to be able to play this game after missing the chance to play it originally on PS1. Would have been five stars if it weren’t for the really small hit boxes for on-screen controls that aren’t even aligned properly. It would have been better to have horizontally aligned buttons :/ Half the challenge of this game is just successfully hitting the attack button. (Jump button is plenty big. Good job)
Controller is A MUST This game is super frustrating without a controller. The on screen controls are 50/50 and super unresponsive
Cant load trapped in loop Cant load game, can only continue- one pixel from a killing blow — so i have to completely restart despite starting this session from the last save room i used. Game deletes your save.
Nostalgia Worth buying if you are a fan of the franchise.
Why ? Touch controls are horrible. Why port this to phones and not bring it to consoles outside of Sony. It’s nice they did this but pretty bad experience unless you use controller which defeats the purpose of a pocket sized version. Please bring this to switch and other non Sony consoles are not fluid and make playing impossible.
Why did you move Dark Metamorphosis???? The controls feel a bit clunky at times, and sometimes it feels like it just doesn't read my inputs. Also, in the PlayStation version of the game, you have access to Dark Metamorphosis from the get-go, so you can readily heal yourself when Alucard's at his weakest... Why did you change that??? Why is that ability locked all the way in the library???? Did Death steal Alucard's vampirism, too????? That one change makes the start of the game infinitely harder than it's supposed to be & it's extremely frustrating & annoying.
