Word Warp - A Word Puzzle Game

Unplayable Used to be really good. Now, the game constantly freezes. With all the ads and their past of not honoring previous ad-free purchases, i would skip.

A great game destroyed! Word Warp was once a great game that has been completely ruined by the current developers. The extremely obnoxious ads for other games that pop up after every round make this game almost unplayable. Very sad that greed and stupidity have trashed one of the best word games in the App Store. Ironically, the makers of Word Warp are now using intrusive ads to promote a game that doesn't have intrusive ads like all their other games. This would be hilarious if it wasn't so pitiful! To the developer: Your reply link didn't work, so I must tell you here that the advertising built into Word Warp is an example of the worst kind of advertising abuse. Some ads can be dismissed after an unnecessary delay, but others redirect to the advertiser's website instead. Other ads have no "x" and defy repeated attempts to force-quit the game to get rid of them. Sometimes the flurry of ads reminds me of a swarm of locusts. I would call your never-ending parade of obnoxious full-page ads wildly excessive. Is this really the best way you can think of to make money online?! I would gladly pay a few bucks for an ad-free version, but that option is not available.

Sloooow! I really like the concept of the game. It’s very addictive BUT IT NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED! It’s super slow and can’t keep up. Bogs down which causes the user to stop and wait for it to catch up.

Most Annoying Game Started playing years ago and liked so much I paid-yes, paid-for no ads! Two years later they started running ads anyway! Worse, many of them CANNOT BE STOPPED without shutting down the game, restarting, then getting another ad! They screwed me, but it wasn’t much and I love the game, but the ads are the worst I have ever had to put up with.

DO NOT download freezing issues/lots of ads Changed review to one star. Now ten months and the game is still not fixed. The company that owns it is garbage. Only worried about collecting ad revenue and not actually being able to play the game. I am giving one star because I can’t give zero or negative stars. This used to be my favorite game but the most recent update (Jan 2026) has broken the game. It constantly freezes about every minute or so for more than a minute then plays for one word or so before freezing again. This update runs ads after every round now. I now play without Wi-Fi or cell data on to avoid the incessant ads but the freezing continues. Do not download this game.

Game has been broken for months without an update Multiple reviews have already said it but the game constantly freezes. It’s literally unplayable. It’s a bummer because it was a really fun game before that started happening. I saw the devs kept telling everyone here to reach out to their support team so I did. They told me to delete and reinstall the app. It didn’t fix the issue at all but it did delete my high score so I wouldn’t count on them to help you out. Maybe they’ll update it someday, but until then there’s no use downloading this

Fix it! I’ve had this game for years but it’s so glitchy now I hate playing it. I can enter one word and then it goes into a slow motion where the timer stops counting and the keyboard input doesn’t work. I have to restart only to be able to put one word in again. Please fix it!

Fun but buggy I’ve enjoyed this game for a long time but lately it freezes during gameplay for random lengths of time making it very difficult to play. It is in very much need of a bug fix update.

Invasive and unethical ads This is a fun game, but in between every 2-minute round is an ad that is typically very difficult to exit. Even if you tap right on the X, a window automatically opens to the product on my browser. This is particularly bad with the Temu ads. I am also now seeing AI deepfake ads of celebrities selling memory enhancement products, which is illegal. The developer needs to screen out unethical ads and invasive practices in ads. It’s too much to deal with literally every 2 minutes.
