GAME ALERTS (NOTIFICATIONS) - Tap the bell on any game to get alerts for it: tip-off, quarter and halftime scores, crunch time, overtime, comebacks, upsets, game-winners and the final score. - Turn on alerts for your favorite teams from the bell in your favorite team news or on their team pages. - Notification settings let you choose alerts separately for your favorite teams and for every game, per league, with quiet hours and a spoiler-free option. - Nothing is sent until you choose it. SCORING RUNS - Game screens now break each game into its scoring runs, shown as bars below the rotations and the score margin chart. Tap a run for a summary. - Apply a run to filter the entire game screen by just that stretch of the game: the box score, on/off, lineups, play-by-play, shots and insights all follow it. - A player's game screen has the same filter, with their stints and the game's runs at the top of the insights. - Switch between scoring runs and quarters in the same sheet. Shared links to a run or quarter open straight to it. QUARTER FILTER - The quarter filter now covers the whole game screen: insights, the margin chart, shots, on/off and lineups, as well as the box score and play-by-play. - A new "Thru 3" option shows the first three quarters together. - Player game screens have the quarter filter too. SCOREBOARD - Live games come first on the scoreboard, and the Games tab icon shows how many are live with a small numeric counter indicator. - Game tiles and the game header show the national TV broadcaster. - Your favorite team's previous and next games have a cleaner look, matching the widget. STATS - New scoring leaderboards: paint points, restricted area points, mid-range points, rim attempts, rim frequency and rim assists. - A new Free Throws group: free throw points, shooting and non-shooting foul free throw points, and true shooting attempts (TSA). Before 2020-21 (2022 in the WNBA), TSA is estimated from FGA and FTA. - Team scoring leaderboards switch between Offense and Defense, so you can see what each team allows defensively. - On/off leaderboards add rim frequency and rim FG% for the team and its opponents, plus a new On Court section ranking rim frequency with the player on the floor (from 2022-23). PLAYER AND TEAM PAGES - Player insights show rim assists in "Creation" section. - On/off tables on player profiles show rim frequency and rim FG% (from 2022-23). - A team's top lineups can switch between 5-man, 4-man, 3-man and 2-man groups. NEWS - News now includes stories such as coaching changes, front office moves, suspensions and awards, alongside transactions and injuries. - Transactions show when a team or player option was exercised or declined. BOX SCORE - Swipe left and right to move between box score modes. - Live and finished games show the injury report at the bottom of the box score. - In the Rotations view, a stint that carries across quarters is one continuous bar. WIDGET - Scheduled games now use similar layout to live and finalised games and include each team's win-loss record. - On the small widget, tap the team's record to open the standings, as on the larger sizes (iOS 18 or later on iPhone). PLAY-BY-PLAY - During live games, new plays slide in one at a time instead of appearing all at once. - A player's game screen has the play-by-play filters too. LOOK AND FEEL - A quicker NBA/WNBA switch: tap anywhere on the toggle to change league. - On smaller phones, season pickers show 26-27 rather than 2026-27. FIXES - Updated logo and team colours for the Rockets' new look. - WNBA game score charts now use 10-minute quarters. - Play-by-play on a player's game screen shows the quarter and clock. - Plus-minus and net rating on player game screens are no longer coloured green and red, since the percentile bars now show how good they are.
