Version 1.1.1 makes the app completely free. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions offered in this version; every feature is available to any signed-in account. Demo account: support@writinghooks.app / HooksDemo2026! To test the main features: create a project, write lyrics in the Composition tab, open Coda (the music note icon) to get writing prompts, add a co-writer from the Details tab, set split percentages, and export the split sheet PDF.
Hooks is the app built for people who actually make music. REAL-TIME CO-WRITING Write in the same project at the same time as your co-writers, from anywhere. Everyone sees every change as it happens, and each writer keeps their own private notes. YOUR FULL CATALOG, WITH AUTHORSHIP ATTACHED Every song, version and folder is saved with a record of who wrote what. Catch an idea in seconds, as audio or lyrics, and turn it into a project when it's ready. AN AI THAT REFUSES TO WRITE YOUR SONG Coda lives inside your project and asks the questions that get you unstuck. It never writes the lyrics for you. The words are yours. FIND COLLABORATORS Search for songwriters and producers by genre and skill, and invite them straight into a project. SPLITS WITHOUT THE DRAMA Set the ownership percentages, and every writer approves or proposes changes inside the app. When everyone agrees, export a split sheet PDF with the approved split and the lyrics. LYRIC TRANSLATION Export your project with natural, idiomatic lyric translations for pitches and sync opportunities abroad. AUDIO AND MOOD BOARD Keep the track and your references inside the project, so everyone writes to the same vibe. ALL FREE Every feature in Hooks is free.
