Earthquakes 3.0 is our biggest update yet: a brand-new Tools tab, geology on every map, and a fresh new icon. • New Tools tab, with Fault Map, Historical Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Orogens, Nuclear Power Plants, Magnitude Comparator, Rupture Size, Intensity Scale, Shake Simulator, Home Safety Check, and Statistics. • Fault Map shows the active faults in your country and how far the nearest mapped fault is from you. • Historical Earthquakes: more than 2,400 great earthquakes from 2150 BC to today. • Maps now color plate boundaries by type and name the plates. Orogens, volcanoes, and nuclear power plants can be turned on as layers — on the earthquake details map too. • Earthquake details show the nearest nuclear power plant within 300 km. • No more empty list: when the last 24 hours were quiet, the list widens to 7 days, 30 days, or the whole world. • New languages: Greek and Chinese (Traditional). • More local earthquakes in Europe and the Mediterranean: Greece, Italy, Romania, Croatia, Albania, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, and Iceland now use EMSC data automatically. • Earthquake notification titles are now in your language. • A new app icon, plus improvements and bug fixes.
