Your entire craft in one book - and every page of it yours to edit, on your iPhone, your Mac and your PC. Book of Shadows is a complete digital grimoire: a magical reference database, spell workshop, tarot study, rune casting table, kitchen witch's cookbook, moon calendar, dream diary and sigil designer. Nothing is locked down - every entry, field and deck can be changed to fit the way you practice. YOUR GRIMOIRE - Over 1,200 entries of magical and mundane correspondences, reworked from end to end for this edition: herbs, angels and their hours, demons, gemstones, woods, carrier oils, pentacles, symbols and metals. - Begin with the Basics: pages for the new witch. - Catalogue your tools and ingredients, and keep a library of your grimoires and magical texts. - Search the whole book at once: entries, spells, diary, sigils, ingredients and recipes. - To Research: everything you mean to look into, by priority, with your notes and sources kept beside each one. SPELLCRAFT - Write spells with ingredient suggestions from your own inventory. - Follow a working while it does its work, and keep a diary of dreams, astral journeys, events and results. CARTOMANCY - Learn the cards, lay 12 spreads, and read from the full 78-card Rider-Waite deck. - Keep as many decks as you like, with your own card art and backs, dealt face down with reversals if you read them. SORTILEGE - Rune sets in Elder or Younger Futhark or Ogham, cut in wood or stone. Draw from the bag, or cast them and read what falls nearest. KITCHEN WITCHCRAFT - Write a recipe or paste a link and let the Book read the page. Ingredients link to the Magical Database, so a recipe says what its herbs are for as well as how much to use. - Everything scales, the shopping list included. Plan meals, shop from a list that joins duplicates, and mark the allergies you cook around. - Over a thousand more to add: the wheel of the year with the lore behind each dish, Mrs Beeton's household management of 1861, and recipes from before ingredient lists. MOON AND CALENDAR - A month calendar marking Full, New, Blood and Blue Moons, eclipses, your events and what is due, with countdowns to the next full moon and eclipse. - Sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset for where you are, today's astrology, and the eight sabbats worked out for your hemisphere. - Add events and sabbats to your iPhone's Calendar, and see your own events beside the moon. - Home Screen widgets for the moon calendar, your research list, the cookbook, the meal planner and the shopping list. SIGILS - Design sigils in the Sigil Weaver - by hand, from letters, or from a photograph - and keep the path each one is drawn by. ON THE TRAIL - A compass with the four quarters, the Sun and the Moon. - Found on the Trail: keep what you find on a walk, and ask "What the hell is that?" to name a plant from a photograph. KINDRED - Find a Coven: a board of covens, moots, circles and open rituals, each one reviewed before it is listed. - Gather your people into circles in Magical Contacts, with notes kept in the Book. MAKE IT YOURS - Put your own name on your book and arrange the front page. Choose Gothic, Nature, light, dark or sepia, your own fonts, and a text size that suits your eyes. - Back up and restore your whole book, and move it between your iPhone, your Mac and your PC. - Open any part of the Book from the Shortcuts app, or ask Siri. The core of the Book works offline, and what you write stays on your iPhone. Share spells, entries, recipes and ingredients with your coven right from the app. Just as in any craft, you need tools. Well, here they are. Have fun!
