Chessling: Chess for Kids

Chessling is a chess coach that grows with your child. Learn the pieces, sharpen with puzzles and play real games, with Sage the owl beside them the whole way. No ads, no accounts, no tracking. ONE SHORT VISIT A DAY Each day has one visit: a new idea, then a game with it. One big Go button always starts the next thing, and when the visit is done Sage says "See you tomorrow!" Your child can leave a lesson or a game at any time and come back to where they were. Leaving is never counted as a loss. WHAT YOUR CHILD LEARNS Chessling teaches real chess one small idea at a time: how each piece moves, which pieces are safe, forks, pins, castling and checkmate, through short story lessons, mini-games and a test for each piece. Sage says every instruction out loud and your child can hear it again. Press and hold any button to hear what it does, so a child who cannot read yet can still find their way. HELP THAT TEACHES Stuck? Tap Help for a clue, again to see where to look, and again for "Show me". Your child always makes the move. Nothing is ever called "wrong": a mistake is a chance to look again. In games, Sage asks short questions that teach your child to check whether a piece is safe before they move. PRACTISE AND PLAY More than 40,000 puzzles, most from real games, adapt to your child. Play real games against friendly computer opponents on a Champions Ladder with 20 rungs, or just for fun against animal friends. Games are saved, so a game can wait. TWO WAYS TO START New to chess? Start with the pieces. Already know how they move? Take the first piece test and go straight to puzzles and games.
