New in 1.4 Everything since 1.2: a live spectrum on the Dashboard and a Spectrum tab that works like an instrument, Scan for Nodes and Traffic on one page, a cleaner layout on iPhone and iPad, and a fix for nRF52 firmware updates. NEW - Spectrum full screen: a button on the Spectrum tab puts the channel over the whole screen like a radio's front panel, readouts along the bottom. Swipe sideways to change the chart style. - Five chart styles (Settings › Spectrum › Chart Style): Modern, Radio Screen, Analyzer, Waterfall and Line Chart, each the same on every radio. Radio Screen is the Cairn radios' own view with a smooth trace; Analyzer is a dark screen with a glowing peak line that springs to each reading while history never moves. - A marker on every style: tap a plot to read that moment's level, height over the floor and age. Every style marks its peak. - Mini spectrum on the Dashboard: the Traffic card shows your channel live in your chart style, with now, floor and peak on its title row and the latest packet below. - One spectrum everywhere: the Dashboard, Scan & Traffic and the Spectrum tab share one set of readings and scroll by the clock at the screen's pace. - Scan & Traffic: Scan for Nodes and Traffic are one page. The map shows packets moving through the mesh with the nodes your scan heard pinned on it, Scan and Wardrive sit under the status line, and a Nodes | Packets switch lists either. - Packet details: a Traffic row opens a sheet with the route hop by hop. - GPS details: tap your radio or phone on the Map tab for coordinates, grid square, signal and movement. - Repeater Neighbours: after a Discover, Heard this scan then Heard before. - Repeaters and rooms keep time: after an admin login the node's clock is set from the phone when it is over 30 seconds off. - TX/RX flash on every page title. Support Development and Leave a Review on About. IMPROVED - One title bar: the Cairn logo sits in the centre title. Dashboard has Settings top left and Tools top right; tap CAIRN for About or your radio's card for Device Info. On other tabs the radio's name opens Device Info. - iPad and Mac use iPhone's bottom tab bar. Spectrum keeps its traffic beside a taller chart, Dashboard and Map use the whole screen, Settings shows its list beside the page. - Clearer names: Chats, Map, Connection, My Radios. Back and Done no longer loop through Settings. - Radio card shows a short message's time on air. Speed, course and altitude share one tile. - Node pages: cleaner sections, roomier action tiles, (i) buttons for telemetry and remote commands. Add Node is a + button. Send Advert asks Zero-hop or Flood. - Maps: buttons say what they do, credits open from the MapLibre logo, nodes with a saved position are pinned even when heard without one. FIXED - nRF52 firmware updates no longer stick on "Restarting into update mode…"; if the bootloader doesn't appear the app says so, with the log under Details. Needs matching Cairn firmware. - Pause works on Cairn radios. Analyzer peaks no longer pulse; the Radio Screen line leaves the plot continuously. - Scan & Traffic opens on your location. Found neighbours no longer vanish when a poll fails. - Adding nodes on Keymind Cascade firmware works. A PIN of 123456 shows as your PIN, and the PIN updates when the radio changes it. FIRMWARE Everything in 1.4 works with stock MeshCore and with current Cairn firmware. On Cairn 119 or newer the spectrum uses the radio's own history. Bluetooth firmware updates on nRF52 boards need the matching Cairn firmware.
