• Trip prep: going away? Pick your dates and who's staying, see what your house sitter or pet sitter still needs to know, and get the brief with your travel dates. • Each brief now ends with a small "Made with Baton" line and QR code so sitters can find the app. You can turn it off in Settings. • Polish and small fixes.
Every household runs on knowledge that lives in one or two heads. Bedtime takes forty minutes and needs the hallway light on. The dog is fine with other dogs but not with bikes. The EpiPen is in the red pouch on the top shelf. The Wi‑Fi password is on the fridge, somewhere. When someone steps in — a babysitter, a pet sitter, a house sitter, grandparents for the weekend — that knowledge gets dumped into a rushed text or a Notes doc nobody can find. Baton is built for that moment. IT ASKS, YOU ANSWER Baton interviews you with the questions a sitter would actually ask: What does bedtime look like? Any allergies? Where is the first‑aid kit? How does the thermostat work? Who do I call if something breaks? Answering is the data entry. Questions adapt to each child's age and each pet's species, and you can skip anything that doesn't apply. ONE CALM BRIEF Pick who it's for — babysitter, pet sitter, house sitter, family & friends or emergency — add the dates, where you'll be and how to reach you, and Baton builds a clean, printable PDF. AirDrop it, message it, print it or save it to Files. Duplicate it next time with new dates. TRIP PREP Going away? Pick your dates and who's staying (house sitter, pet sitter or family) and Baton shows what's still missing: mail, plants, trash day, thermostat, how to get in, who to call if something breaks. Then it builds the brief with your travel dates. ONLY WHAT'S NEEDED LEAVES Every detail has a sensitivity. Door and alarm codes don't go to the babysitter by default. Medical details don't go to the house sitter. Five privacy switches on every brief let you decide, and the preview shows exactly what the sitter will see. THE EMERGENCY CARD Address, emergency contacts with tap‑to‑call, allergies and medications, poison control, nearest ER — on one screen, reachable from Spotlight, Siri and a Lock Screen widget. Share it as an image when a stranger needs to help. KEEP IT CURRENT Readiness rings show how complete each brief is ("3 quick questions left"), and a gentle nudge asks whether a routine written months ago is still right. No streaks, no red badges, no guilt. YOUR HOUSEHOLD, ORGANIZED • People: routines, food & meals, medications, allergies, comfort, rules, good‑to‑know • Pets: feeding, walks, bathroom, meds, vet, temperament, escape risks, supplies • Home: Wi‑Fi, access, where things are, how things work, trash day, house rules • Contacts: pick specific people from Contacts (no full address‑book access) or type them in PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE No account. No cloud. No analytics. Baton never connects to the internet. Your data is protected by iOS Data Protection, can be locked with Face ID, and can be exported as a single backup file you own. Nothing leaves your iPhone unless you share it. Baton is free. It isn't medical or legal advice — it holds what you write and shares it only when you choose.
