Calmchime is a meditation timer built around a bell. On the Sit tab you set the length of a sitting on a dial, choose an interval bell or none, and pick an ambient layer: rain, stream, wind or silence. A full bell opens and closes the sitting and a softer bell marks each interval, while the ambient loop plays underneath at the volume you set. You can pause, resume or end early, and sittings shorter than a minute are not saved. When the closing bell rings, a note page opens so you can tag a mood and write a few lines about what arose, or skip it. Set-ups you use often live on the Presets tab, each with a name, length, interval and sound, so a whole session starts with one tap. The Journal tab keeps the record: total minutes, number of sittings, your longest one, today's minutes and a calendar where each day you sat leaves a dot, with days that reach your daily goal glowing. Below it sits every session with its note, searchable by note text, mood or sound. Settings covers the daily goal in minutes, ambient volume, bells and sound effects, haptics, fonts, whether the note page opens on its own, and a full erase. Sittings, notes and presets are written to files on this device and go nowhere else. Calmchime is a timer and journal, not medical advice.
