Radiotelephone Certificate BZF I and BZF II: Exam preparation for aviation radio, 261 questions.
Exam preparation for the Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Certificate: all 261 questions from the Federal Network Agency with explanations for each answer, plus a radio simulator for aviation radio communication that speaks and listens. For PPL, LAPL, SPL, ultralight, glider, and motor glider.
ALL 261 EXAM QUESTIONS
The complete official question catalog, valid from May 1, 2024, word for word. Because the correct answer is always at the top in the official PDF, the app shuffles the answers.
WHY THE ANSWER IS CORRECT (PRO)
Memorization is sufficient for the exam, but not for radio communication. Therefore, for each question, it explains why the correct answer is right, what is wrong with the others, and where the relevant regulation applies (SERA, LuftVO, FlugfunkV). 27 explanations are free, one per topic, in the catalog. The rest are a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
A COMPLETE FLIGHT ON THE RADIO (PRO)
The radio simulator guides you through a complete flight: start-up, taxiing, takeoff, circuit, and landing. The other station responds audibly, with static and crackling just like on a real radio. You speak your messages aloud, optionally into the microphone: the app recognizes what you said on the device and overlays it next to the sample response. You have the final say. Each phrase is recorded, and no two flights are alike.
NUMBERS AND LISTENING (PRO)
On the radio, it's "two" instead of "two," some things are spoken digit by digit, others are grouped. Here you practice both directions: first, you transmit altitudes, QNH, and frequencies yourself. Then, a voice transmits a value to you, and you report what was received.
REFERENCE SYNCHRONIZATION GROUP SETTINGS
What you say and what the ground responds, with tower and radio: 489 syntax sets in the wording of official radiotelephony procedures, with search function and location. Free.
SYSTEMATIC REPEAT
What you're struggling with gets repeated; what you've mastered gets left alone. Behind the scenes is a card index with five compartments. Practice is done in rounds of 15 questions, so the theory has a beginning and an end.
MOVIE EXAM (PRO)
The exam simulation: 100 questions in a row, the results only revealed at the end, just like in the real exam. Afterwards, you'll see where you're stuck, and every incorrectly answered question leads to an explanation. The format is for practice, not official; the German Air Traffic Control Regulations (Aeronautische Funktechnischesverordnung) don't prescribe one, and the app states this.
SENTENCE ALPHABET
Alpha to Zulu, with text-to-speech. If you like, you can speak the word into the microphone and the app will check it, free of charge. The call sign practice demonstrates common mix-ups.
BZF I OR BZF II
The radio operator's certificate is available as BZF II in German and as BZF I with an English section. The knowledge section of the exam is the same for both, and that's precisely what these 261 questions cover. Those upgrading from BZF II with an additional exam don't need to take it again and therefore don't need this app.
WHAT REMAINS FREE
All 261 questions with flashcards, rounds, and progress tracking, the alphabet with audio playback and microphone, a catalog, and phraseology for reference. The questions are an official document; charging for them would be wrong. You only pay for the features added.
NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS
No login, no ads, no tracking. We never see your learning progress. Voice and speech recognition run entirely locally; nothing is recorded or uploaded. Learning is possible even without a network connection. Only the purchase is processed through Google Play.
