Something is eating the light. The Gloam come out of the Rift every night, drawn to the Eternal Ember burning behind your wall. They do not negotiate and they do not stop. Five heroes stand on the parapet. That is what you have. RAMPART FIVE is a wall-defense game about the squad you bring, not the trigger you hold. A level is wave after wave of them — a hundred on the courtyard at once, and a boss walking on at the end — and every level is decided twice: once when you choose who stands on the wall, and again, card by card, while the fight is running.
