Protection now tells you why it stopped, instead of always blaming another VPN app. On phones that shut apps down to save battery, it points at the setting that helps. Now targets Android 16.
About this app
Block websites, make unblocking deliberately slow, strengthen your volition
Read full description
Blocking websites is easy. Unblocking them can be just as easy, which is why most blockers do not work with you in a moment of need. B-Simple is built around that moment. When you block a site, you write down why. When you later try to lift that block, B-Simple shows you your own words, then asks you to wait, then asks you to type a phrase. Even then the site unblocks for only fifteen minutes before locking itself again. The wait is a gentle space between you and content you are seeking to avoid. Uninstalling is not obstructed. If you need this, keep it. Free features: - Block any site, including its subdomains - Your own reason, shown back to you at the moment you look to remove blocking - A wait you choose, from 10 minutes to an hour - Safe search for Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo - Recently blocked, so you can see what was caught and why - Warnings when something can bypass the app One premium payment adds: - A curated adult pack: around 4,750 sites, filtered to leave health, education and support services alone - Import your own lists: plain lists, hosts files or CSV, however large - Keyword blocking: block any site whose name contains a word you choose No account, no ads and no trackers. Nothing about you leaves your device. No subscriptions - one premium payment, if you choose. How it works: B-Simple uses Android's VpnService to filter DNS on your device. The tunnel is local: it carries no traffic to any server. Nothing you browse is collected, stored or sent. What this won't block: Blocking works by domain name, so it cannot block a single page or a site reached by a raw IP address. A browser using its own secure DNS will bypass it. Android allows one VPN at a time, so B-Simple cannot run alongside another. Think of this as help with the habitual path. The determined one will always find a way.
