First release! Step by step Umrah guide, convenient built-in counters for tawaf and sa'y, rulings for the four madhahib, interactive gate maps of both Haramain, and 24 ziyarah day plans. Works offline.
A simple guide to Umrah & Ziyarah, interactive gate maps of both Haramain.
Umrah Buddy is a guide for people performing Umrah. It works offline once it has opened. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking. PLAN YOUR TRIP Enter your arrival date and the nights you have in each city. The app will lay out the days for you, Umrah and ziyarah. There is also a checklist for the days before you fly. STEP BY STEP UMRAH Each stage is laid out with just enough information to keep you focused on your ibadah and completing your Umrah with excellence. All the duas you need to know are in the right place at the right time. CONVENIENT BUILT IN COUNTERS Counters built into the tawaf and sa'y steps let you keep track easily. You can also download the smartwatch companion and put your phone away. RULINGS THAT FOLLOW YOUR SCHOOL Choose your school: Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki or Hanbali. Rulings for each madhhab are cited. Where a ruling is ambiguous, we've left it blank, so please speak with a trusted scholar. PLANS OF BOTH HARAMAIN Interactive plans of Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi, drawn to scale from OpenStreetMap survey data. Pinch to zoom, drag to move, switch between levels, and look up a gate by its number. 153 gates at the Haram and 22 at the Prophet's Mosque, mapped to the numbers signed on the doors. MEETING GATES Calls don't always connect inside the Haram. Set a gate as your meeting point before you go in, and it is on the screen when you come out. ZIYARAH, PLANNED 24 self-led day plans across Makkah and Madinah, three days for each of four kinds of traveller. Each stop has a written guide the phone can read aloud, and a label saying how firmly the place is attached to the life of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Places that are not religious sites are marked as such. WHO IT IS WRITTEN FOR There is separate guidance for pilgrims travelling alone, travelling as a couple, travelling with limited mobility, and parents travelling with their family. Choose one during setup and the checklists and the day plans follow it. WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL Once the app has opened, everything above works without a connection. WHAT IT IS NOT This is not a booking app. No hotels, no flights, no packages. It does not use your location and it never asks you to sign in. PRIVACY No account, no advertising, no analytics. Your school, your dates, your counts and your progress are held on your phone and are not transmitted. The app connects to two places only: its own site, to check for corrections to the rulings, and Google Fonts, for the typefaces. Any source link you tap opens in your own browser. SOURCES Rulings are attributed to the body that issued them, with a link. Supplications carry a label for how they are established. The plans are built from OpenStreetMap survey data and credited under the Open Database Licence. Umrah Buddy is published by 5 Pillars Technologies Inc. Questions: privacy@umrahbuddy.app
