Change DNS with one tap: Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, or your own.
Hive DNS changes your phone's DNS server with one tap, without root. • One button: ON / OFF — key icon and persistent notification in the status bar • 22 popular DNS providers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9, OpenDNS, AdGuard, CleanBrowsing, Control D, etc.) + your own address (IPv4/IPv6) • Encryption: DNS-over-TLS (DoT) and DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) with supported providers • Searchable list: filter by name and address as you type • Speed test: response time of each server, choose the fastest one with one tap • Statistics: DNS queries, errors, average latency, most requested domains, as well as Wi-Fi and mobile traffic tables • DNS is updated immediately when changing provider while connected • Exception applications: selected applications continue to work with system DNS • Quick Settings button, home screen widget, launcher shortcuts • Automatic connection when the phone is turned on • Azerbaijani, English and Russian languages; light and dark theme How it works: the app sets up a local VPN with Android VpnService and only specifies the DNS server. In normal mode, no route is added and traffic does not go through the app — the internet goes directly over Wi-Fi/mobile network, only the DNS settings change. In DoT/DoH mode, only DNS requests go through the app to be encrypted; all other traffic still goes directly. Hive DNS is not a VPN in the usual sense: it does not hide your IP address and does not encrypt the rest of the traffic. Privacy: no data is collected and sent to us. Settings and statistics remain only on the device. No advertising SDK, analytics or third-party libraries. Note: Smartbee (172.16.47.58) is an internal network server and works only on the Smartbee network; other providers work everywhere.
