The app itself is pretty slick. You get realtime updates with your shopper and you can even chat with them. It searches quick, times load fast. Having a shopping list separate from a checkout cart is nice, and quickly converting your shopping list *to your cart* is very nice. I'm not sure Macey's is keeping their inventory up to date though. Several times I've had "lots in stock" items unavailable.

Great Stores, high end better quality.
horrible. but it's not the apps fault. they have no in store shoppers so who knows when or if you'll get your order filled. then when you show it the app or so they say won't trigger the alert that you are here so you wait for 45 minutes for your order even after calling them.
too many items that didn't belong in the chosen category.
Worst app ever. Not usable. If you want me to use digital coupons and shop there you should actually make it possible for me to clip coupons. Other stores can do it, I know you can too. I just want to open the ad and be able to click on an item in the ad and have it load to the item so I can click the coupon. Not have to sign in 5 times for it to not work.

This app has consecutively gotten worse with every single update! I will only be going to Macy's from now on for the ice cream in the bakery and the 3-day deals IF they are not on the app. This is possibly the least user friendly app I've ever used, and I'm including one's that I downloaded back in the mid-2000 teens. I would fire whoever designed this immediately and have the new hire download the Smiths app. so they have a template. They have made the coupons virtually impossible to find/use.
It seems with every update they downgrade the functionality of this app. When it comes to finding and clipping coupons, you used to be able to simply scan the barcode and then clip it. Then they removed that functionality and made you have to type in the name by hand. Then they removed that functionality and now you have to simply scroll scroll scroll until you find the item you're looking for. I'm not sure if these decisions are made by morons or what...

Update March 2026: Every time this app is updated it is a worse experience. Want to look at the ad and go directly to a coupon or item? Too bad, the ad is now just a non interactive picture. You have to go to the coupon section separately and try to find it there. Want to see what coupons you have clipped and then go to the ones you haven't easily? Too bad, you have to fiddle with the filters button and check/uncheck categories now. This makes every other supermarket app look like a masterpiece.
