Offline workbench for K-12 class teachers. All data stays on the phone.
ClassBench is a day-to-day tool for K-12 homeroom teachers. Running a class means keeping track of small, scattered things: who is on leave, whose turn it is for duty, which students you talked to this week, how many days until the midterms. Those notes end up spread across chat apps, memos and paper notebooks. ClassBench puts them in one place.
Today
Today's timetable, to-dos, exam countdowns and student birthdays on one screen. Choose which modules appear on the home page and in what order. To-dos can remind you when they are due; the reminder text is masked, so nothing about a student shows on the lock screen.
Manage
Leave requests, returns and extensions; merits, demerits and points redemption; roll call; duty rosters with ratings and weekly group rotation; dorm checks; parent contacts and message templates; a safety-education ledger; evening study and after-school registers; a school calendar; term reports. Enter exam scores by subject or import them from Excel, and get subject averages, the list below the pass mark and class statistics. Senior high adds qualifying exams and catch-up lists.
Students
A profile for every student: details, two guardians, points, leave, score trends, a timeline. Add students in bulk or import a roster from Excel/CSV. Seating plans can be generated, swapped and reshaped. Guardian consent forms can be signed by hand on the phone, or photographed and filed.
Work notes
Log a home visit, a talk or a message to parents, with photos, audio, video and documents attached, linked to a student, and dated whenever it happened. A student can sign a talk record on the spot; the signature is encrypted and archived with it. Friction between students goes in a separate conflict ledger — it never deducts points.
Read from a photo, or share things in
Share a screenshot of a score sheet or a photo of a roster and ClassBench reads the text and the table. A recognized table is laid out for you to check and edit; nothing is imported until you confirm. A parent's message, a picture or an Excel file can be shared straight in without saving it as a file first. Paste a parent's message into a leave request and the student, dates and reason are filled in. All reading happens on the phone; nothing is uploaded.
Computer workbench
Turn it on and a browser on your computer reaches an encrypted page over your local network, signed in with a one-time code, for bulk entry of students, scores and timetables. It never leaves the local network, stops when the app goes to the background, and logs every visit.
Widget and shortcuts
The home-screen widget shows today's timetable and to-dos, following the school calendar. Long-press the app icon for leave, points and a quick note.
On privacy
This is the part ClassBench most wants to be clear about.
Student and guardian information is encrypted with SM4-GCM and stored in the app's sandbox on the phone. The data key lives only in memory, wrapped by a non-exportable hardware key in the Android Keystore and bound to the device being unlocked — it cannot be unwrapped while the screen is locked. No account, no sign-up, and ClassBench's own code never sends data to a server. No ad, analytics, tracking, push or crash-reporting SDKs. The only third-party SDK is Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition; it may send Google basic diagnostics, never images or text (see the privacy policy).
The app can be locked with a password and unlocked quickly with a fingerprint or your face. It locks itself in the background and hides student data from the app switcher. One tap deletes a single student, a whole class, or everything in the app.
Please obtain guardian consent offline before entering student information; a printable consent form is built in.
What this version still lacks
Audio attachments need a written note of their own — the Android version does not yet include a speech-to-text engine.
