Your neighborhood. Your choices. Your rise.
Step into the shoes of JR, a 22-year-old finding his way through the apartments. The Rise of JR is a single-player, third-person adventure that brings together neighborhood exploration, branching conversations, driving, everyday activities, and risky street encounters.
Will you take an honest job, show up for your neighbors, or chase fast money? Your decisions affect cash, trust, loyalty, and heat, shaping the road ahead and the ending you reach.
EXPLORE The Apartments
Walk through apartment courtyards, spend time by the pool, visit the basketball court, and head out toward Fisher Road, Brinkley Road, and the shopping center. Discover neighborhood keepsakes, meet residents, and return home to Apartment 302.
STEP INSIDE THE STORES
Explore 16 enterable businesses, including a grocery store, laundromat, barber shop, salons, dollar store, club, and convenience stores. Browse detailed interiors and buy goods or services with in-game cash. Purchases stay in your inventory, while food and first aid can restore health.
BRING YOUR CREW
Ask people at the pool to follow you, wait nearby, or head back. Companions travel with you on foot, enter shops alongside you, and help when hostile crews attack.
TAKE THE WHEEL
Explore in cars, ride dirt bikes and quads, and move between neighborhood destinations. Switch between walking and vehicle travel as you make your way through the world.
CHOOSE HOW YOU RISE
Take delivery jobs, help at the food drive, play a basketball timing challenge, or follow the story toward work, community, street life, or an independent future. Optional criminal jobs and store hold-ups add risk: increased heat, lost trust, and hostile encounters can follow your decisions.
KEEP YOUR STORY MOVING
Use touch controls, the neighborhood map, phone and journal, and built-in help menu. Checkpoint saves preserve your progress, and free roam lets you keep exploring after the story.
