A castaway, an island that keeps quiet, and a notebook nobody can read. Word Search: Mystery Island is a free word search game where every grid you clear tears off a piece of the story. A letter game, hidden words in a grid — but with an ending at the end of it. FIND THE HIDDEN WORDS IN THE GRID The words are there, sitting in the letter grid. Across, down, diagonal, forwards and backwards: swipe from the first letter to the last and the word is struck through with a highlighter. A word search that is easy to pick up and hard to put down, with grids that grow from seven squares to twelve as you go. The first ones are simple; then the hidden words start slipping in diagonally and in reverse, at your own pace. A STORY, NOT JUST A PUZZLE You are not alone on this island. A castaway tells the tale, a notebook gains a page at every step, and the symbols on the first page eventually start to mean something. That is what sets this word search apart: there is an ending, and it is earned one grid at a time. THE ISLAND OPENS UP The map is under fog. Every word search you solve pushes it back a little: a beach, a river, a volcano, markers lighting up one by one. Between grids the island holds other trials — bombs, pairs to match, a gold rush — and each one pays in tokens. BRAIN TRAINING THAT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE IT Hunting a word in a grid of letters is brain training dressed up as relaxation. Five minutes in a queue or an hour in the evening: small grids wake up your word memory, big ones put it to work. It plays solo, and it shares beautifully with family — someone always spots the word you can't see. PLAY ANYWHERE It is easy to start: a grid, a finger, and the first word is struck through. Tokens pay for hints when a grid holds out. There are two: one letter revealed at random, or a word of your choosing pointed out in the grid. Hearts are your lives and refill on their own. The game is free, speaks 26 languages and plays entirely offline: on the train, on a plane, with no signal, the grid is there. Every language has its own dictionary.
