Turn any 3D model into printable papercraft pieces, with 3D folding steps.
Papercraft Maker unfolds a 3D model into flat pieces that you print on card, cut out, fold and glue back into the real shape. Bring a figure, a mask, a vehicle or a game prop as an STL, OBJ or GLB file and your sheets are ready in seconds. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a model. Files from Thingiverse, Printables, Sketchfab or your own 3D app all work. 2. Choose the detail. Fewer faces mean fewer cuts. Around 60 to 200 faces folds best, and up to 600 is there for a smoother result. 3. Set the finished height in centimeters and pick A4 or Letter. The pieces are packed onto as few sheets as possible. 4. Print at actual size and follow the folding steps. ON EVERY SHEET • Numbered edges, so tab 12 always glues under edge 12 • Glue tabs on one side of each seam, or none at all if you prefer tape • Mountain folds in red dash dot, valley folds in blue dashes • A true size vector PDF that stays sharp at any zoom • The model's own colors printed on the pieces when the file has them FOLDING STEPS IN 3D Tap Folding steps and the build is shown one piece at a time. The piece lights up on its sheet, folds up in 3D in front of you, then moves onto the model built so far with its tab numbers listed. Drag to turn the model, pinch to zoom, and use the slider to fold at your own pace. GOOD FIRST MODELS The Cottage, Gem, Ball and Rocket inside the app are quick builds for an evening. For your own files, low poly models make the cleanest papercraft, and detailed scans are simplified for you. FROM THE WORKBENCH Card of 160 to 220 gsm holds its shape best. Score every fold line with an empty pen and a ruler before you cut, and the folds come out crisp. Print from your phone, or share the PDF to a computer or a print shop. Papercraft Maker is free with ads, and one purchase removes them.
