Print a PDF or photo at its real size on your home printer. Sewing patterns, quilting templates, woodworking templates, floor plans, stencils and drawings only work if they print at exactly the right size. Print to Scale makes sure they do. Open the file, and the app splits it onto as many A4 or Letter sheets as it needs, each one at true size, ready to tape together. WHY YOUR PRINTS COME OUT SMALL Most printers shrink a page by 2 or 3 percent, even at 100%. On a 1 metre pattern that is 2 or 3 cm too small, and the garment does not fit. Print to Scale fixes this once: print one check page, measure one square with a ruler, type what you got. Every print after that is corrected for your printer. WHAT IT DOES • Prints a PDF at the true size written in the file, like an A0 copy shop pattern on A4 or Letter sheets • Pattern lines stay sharp: pages are placed as vectors, never turned into a blurry picture • Sheets are named A1, A2, B1 like a real pattern, with an overlap strip and a dashed line for taping • A check page first, with a 5 cm square, a 2 inch square and a 10 cm ruler • Printer check: measure the square once and every print is corrected • For a photo or scan: type how wide it should be, or mark two points on a length you know, like a ruler in the photo • Reads the size of a scan from its dpi • Print at any percent, like 50% or 200%, when a pattern asks for it • A4, Letter, A3, Legal and A5 paper, turned the way that uses the fewest sheets • Every PDF page or only one • Opens PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, and files shared from other apps • Works offline. HOW TO PRINT 1. Print at 100% or Actual size. Turn off Fit to page. 2. Measure the 5 cm square on page one. If it is 5 cm, print the rest. 3.
