A shared shopping list that people actually want to use every day.
Basket started from a simple problem: my wife and I wanted one shopping list that synced itself, instead of texting each other "grab more milk" and hoping someone remembered. After years of using a homemade version of this app, I decided to build it properly and share it with others. You can keep several lists going at once — groceries on one, gifts on another, whatever you need. Each list stays private until you share it, so if you're shopping with a partner, family, or roommates, you just send a link and the list starts syncing in real time. Someone checks off milk at the store, and you see it right away on your own phone. Adding things is quick — one field at the bottom of the screen, no extra steps in the way. You can tag each item with the store you usually buy it at (Lidl, Rossmann, Ikea, or any other you set up yourself), then filter the list down to just that store once you're actually there. You can also attach a link to an item, handy for something specific, like a gift you found online. Basket isn't trying to be a full household management tool with reminders, calorie tracking, or recipe integrations. It's just a shopping list that works the way it should — opens fast, syncs instantly, and stays out of your way while you're standing in line with your phone in one hand and a basket in the other.
