The Child Development Assessment Test (EDI) is administered during consultations, with automatic scoring using a traffic light system and patient follow-up, all without paper or internet access. Designed for general practitioners, pediatricians, nurses, and primary care staff who administer neurodevelopmental screening during well-child visits for children from 1 month to 5 years 11 months. COMPLETE ASSESSMENT BY AGE GROUP • All 15 EDI test formats, from group 1 (1 month) to group 15 (60 to 71 months) • Calculation of chronological age and corrected age for premature infants under 2 years old • Automatic selection of the corresponding age group • One question on screen with instructions on how to administer it and whether to observe the child or ask the caregiver • Re-evaluation with the previous age group when an area does not achieve any items THE FIVE AXES OF THE TEST • Developmental areas: gross motor, fine motor, language, social, and cognitive • Warning signs and alarm signals • Neurological examination with head circumference measurement • Biological risk factors, pre-loaded from the previous assessment SCORING ACCORDING TO THE 2021 EDI MANUAL • Traffic light result: normal development (green), developmental delay (yellow) or risk of delay (red) • Apply the scoring tables for each age group, including the rule that in groups 5 to 15, risk factors and warning signs do not modify the overall score. • Reasons for the result and suggested action. PATIENT FOLLOW-UP • Patient file with all evaluations. • Timeline of results. • Suggested date for the next application: 3 months in case of delay or the next required age (1, 6, 18, 30, 42, and 60 months). • Filters for patients with risk, delay, or pending evaluation.
