Pesten with your house rules. Fair deals, 2–4 players, no account needed.
Pesten as at the kitchen table: a 2 makes the next player draw, the joker draws five, a seven plays again ("zeven blijft kleven"), an eight skips ("acht wacht"), the jack chooses the suit and the ace turns play around. You play against the computer, offline too, and can stop whenever you like: the game saves itself. The app is in Dutch.
✔ THE RULES AS THE NETHERLANDS PLAYS THEM
Checked against Dutch Wikipedia, Identity Games, spelregels.eu, regels.nl and partyspellen.nl. The app lets you play only what the rules allow, and when a card does not fit, it says why.
• 2: the next player draws 2 — joker: the next player draws 5
• Stacking: a 2 or joker on a 2 or joker, and the total passes on
• A seven plays again, an eight skips, the ace reverses
• Jack and joker: you choose the suit
• Forget to call "laatste kaart"? You draw penalty cards
• No finishing on a pestkaart
✔ YOUR HOUSE RULES
Play it differently at home? Set it in the settings: no jokers, no stacking, the jack only on its suit or another jack, the king plays again or reverses, finishing on a pestkaart allowed, 2 or 5 penalty cards. Every rule explained in the app, with the sources.
✔ PROVABLY FAIR DEALS
Before you see a card, the app shows a code. After the game it reveals the key that the deal and every reshuffle were computed from: if the key matches the code, the cards were fixed before anyone saw them. The computer never sees your cards — it knows only its own hand and what is on the table. Your statistics show it too: over time everyone gets the same share of pestkaarten.
✔ COMFORTABLE PLAY
• 1 to 3 opponents and three levels: easy, medium, hard
• Big, clear cards — bigger still if you like
• A four-colour deck (blue diamonds, green clubs) if you find it easier
• The table always shows what is in force: how many to draw, the chosen suit, the direction
• A hint when you are not sure what to play
• Your pace: calm, normal or fast
• "Laatste kaart" called for you, if you would rather not remember
✔ A DAILY CHALLENGE
One game a day with the same cards for everyone. Compare your result with family and friends, and see how many days in a row you can keep it up.
No ads while you play: now and then an ad between games (at most one in three games) and a banner on the start screen. Rather have none? Pay once, no subscription.
A reminder for the daily challenge only if you want one — at most one a day.
