BoulderBot Climbing

This app completely changed how I climb alone in my garage wall. They aren't always perfect routes and take a few generations and tweaks to get good boulders. But this gets me through the times where I don't have motivation to set new problems and just want to climb. It has even produced a few classics on my wall that are completely different from anything I'd set myself. Just built a new wall perpendicular to my current one and can't wait for future updates!

I have just tried premium and have a couple of things to point out. First you should add a slider to adjust the difficulty of each hold more easily. The current system does not work well, I do not understand how to increase or decrease the difficulty. With respect to the orientation of the holds it could also nice if you could also fine tune the orientation with a slider. The procedural algorithm is not great but it is enough to get you started and only need some adjustments.

The idea behind this app is awesome for those of us who don't own a commercial wall and cannot borrow problems created by others. V2.0 added some lags but, at least for me (my wall is mostly traverse type), the generation functionality doesn't really work well and I need to tweak every boulder in order to reach some doable. Improving that I the future will make a 5 star tool for home climbing.

Amazing app well worth buying the pro version

Great app, easy to use and has lots of features that are unlocked with a one-time payment (definitely worth buying). The generated problems don't always make sense or are possible but it's a fun addition to the app that helps to make interesting problems. All the statistics that are available for your wall are so helpful in making decisions about making a problem to use less used holds. One thing I'd like to see added would be a way to sort made problems by grade and maybe even hold types

Great app for your home wall I just hope they keep updating it to improve it. Last update was April 2023 so it is overdue one I think. Maybe an update that improves the span and takes more accurate measures of your board and consider the climbers height. Also an update for home walls that fully adjust.

App is insane. I have a home wall and this helps me track and make new problems!

What an amazing app. I immediately upgraded to pro to support the devs. I really appreciate this tool. Lots more fun will be had because of it. Edit - I may have just had my best climbing session ever. I worked with the app to generate routes, deleted and changed a few holds on most routes, and then sent interesting, flashable boulders at my level. Strong recommend.

Amazing! I just used it today for the first time on the free account and I intend to upgrade to the pro version here soon. Was just wondering if you'd possibly be able to link together connecting walls of different angles/roofs to create a 3D climbing cave with routes? Maybe the pro version has it and just don't know yet! (I don't know anything about programming an app. bet it would be much more difficult then a single wall but if it was possible I would be willing to pay more for that ability!)
