About this app
Vedic astrology and Tarot, read slowly, to help you see the season you are in.
Sutra brings together two old ways of looking at a life: your Vedic birth chart and the Tarot. It reads them gently, as weather rather than fate, so you can see the season you are in and what it asks of you. YOUR VEDIC CHART, READ AS SEASONS Tell Sutra when and where you were born. If you do not know your birth time, that is fine. Sutra reads your sky and shows your life as seasons that lean, favour and ask. Some stretches are heavy, some are light, and each one passes. You see where you are, how you got here, and what may be ahead. TAROT, TO SIT WITH • A full ten-card Celtic cross, with the classic Rider–Waite–Smith cards. • You shuffle and cut the deck yourself, and the cards are laid out one by one. • The spread is read as a story in five chapters: the scene, how it came to be, where it is going, you in it, and where it leans. • Before Sutra says anything about a card, it asks you what you see. Your words come first. • Speak your answers or type them. When a card is a tender one, Sutra gives you a moment before going on. • Each reading ends with one thing to carry into the week, and is saved to your Thread. Tarot in Sutra is for reflection, not for deciding. One unhurried reading a week, about fifteen minutes. IT ASKS BEFORE IT TELLS Your first reading starts with three short cards about the last year and a half of your life. For each one you say whether it feels familiar, fits some of it, or doesn’t fit, so you can judge for yourself whether Sutra sees you clearly. ASK Bring a question about work, love, family or yourself. Sutra answers in plain words from your chart, or turns to the Tarot when the question is about a feeling. It shows when a second view agrees or differs, so you know how loosely to hold the answer. Speak your question or type it. EVERY DAY, FREE • Today: one plain line about the day, and what is coming up in your sky. • A ten-second check-in: from light to heavy, how today feels. • A letter every Sunday, written to you, about the week behind and the week ahead. WITH THE MONTHLY PLAN • A Tarot reading every week. • Five Ask questions a week. • Thread: your seasons, three to six months at a time, beside your own check-ins, so you can see how your days have actually felt. • Your months: the year ahead, month by month, with the dates that matter. • Your full Sunday letter, and a new Mirror card every few weeks. PLAIN FIRST Sutra speaks in everyday words first, with the Sanskrit name in small type for those who want it: your long season first, Mahadasha after. YOURS, AND PRIVATE • Your readings and conversations stay in your account. Screenshots are turned off inside the app. • You can pause or leave the monthly plan whenever you like. • You can delete your account and your data from inside the app. PRICING Sutra is free to start, and Today, check-ins and Sunday letters stay free. The monthly plan begins with one day for ₹1, then ₹299 a month. Without the plan, you can buy five questions for ₹99, valid for seven days, and use them for Ask or a Tarot reading. An extra Tarot reading in the same week is ₹99. A NOTE ON CARE Sutra is for reflection and is not a substitute for care from a doctor, therapist or counsellor, or for medical, legal or financial advice. If things feel too heavy, you can talk to someone today: Tele-MANAS 14416 (free, 24 hours) or iCall 9152987821. Both numbers are always in the You screen. Sutra means thread. We hope it becomes a quiet thread back to yourself.
