BUILD education: quiz cases, live MDMs, HRCT teaching and patient guides
BUILD (Better Understanding of Interstitial Lung Disease) is an ILD education app from the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Amrita Hospital, Kochi. It brings case-based learning, live multidisciplinary meetings and practical teaching together for healthcare professionals, and clear, plain-language information for patients and caregivers. FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS • ILD and Beyond Quiz Corner – real, de-identified cases from clinic, posted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Choose your answer, then see the diagnosis, imaging, pathology and teaching point when the answer unlocks, and how other clinicians answered. • Pan India ILD MDM – join live multidisciplinary webcasts with pulmonologists, radiologists and pathologists. Get reminders 1 day and 1 hour before each session, add it to your calendar, and catch up on past recordings. • ILD HRCT Learning Hub – a practical, pattern-based approach to HRCT in ILD, with faculty videos and teaching cases. • Selected Talks – view-only lecture slides from Dr Asmita Mehta on ILD diagnosis and management. • Articles – focused reading on biomarkers, genetics and telomeres, pulmonary function and how an ILD MDM works. • BUILD Score – a research prototype of an India-derived ILD severity score (five domains, 0–12 points) with stage and estimated 3-year mortality from registry data. • Journal Club and My Week, My Words – monthly paper discussions and weekly reflections.
