IMAP/POP3, a combined inbox and optional Tor mail routing.
Your mail. A clearer view. Burgmail connects your existing mailboxes on Android. The app interface is currently German. ORGANIZE YOUR MAIL Retrieve IMAP/POP3 mail and send via SMTP over verified TLS. Multiple accounts and a unified inbox, sender/attachment/date search filters, drafts, text templates, account signatures, CC/BCC and multiple recipients. Supported IMAP accounts can move mail to server folders, archive or trash. Server changes are applied after acknowledgement; POP3 has no such folder actions. Clear sender and subject lines, initials and optional photos from local Android contacts help you recognize mail. Contact photos require your consent and contacts read permission. No automatic avatar-service request; a photo is not proof of sender identity. READ, SHARE AND PLAN Reply, reply all, forward, text search, reading size, translation and file actions stay in the message menu. Save or share attachments and full text through Android, including installed cloud apps. Exported copies are unencrypted. Local calendar with previewed individual ICS imports and export; no CalDAV. Optional disposable addresses via mail.tm depend on provider availability and retention. No fixed Burgmail storage quota; provider limits, device resources and available storage apply. PRIVACY External images start blocked. Detected tracking signals are explained; detection is not comprehensive. Scripts remain blocked. Preview link targets and remove known campaign parameters. Personal sender rules let you trust, caution or block senders; these are not identity verification. Mail content, credentials and files use AES-GCM with Android Keystore. Search-index metadata is not additionally encrypted. Backups and screenshots are blocked. Optional app lock requests supported biometrics or device credentials when reopening; Burgmail receives no biometric data. Local attachment inspection highlights risks and is not a comprehensive antivirus. TLS is not end-to-end encryption. Optional Google ML Kit translation processes mail text on the device; models are downloaded and technical SDK data goes to Google. No advertising SDK. Background retrieval is optional and may be delayed by Android. Google authorization stays in the foreground. 72-HOUR TRIAL, ONE-TIME PURCHASE Full-version and Plus features can be tested for 72 hours from first launch. Afterwards, further retrieval, sending and new appointments require the full version: one-time EUR 4.99 in Germany. No subscription or automatic charge. Existing copies remain readable, exportable and deletable. Google Play manages purchases and restoration; the checkout price applies. PRIVACY PLUS Separate one-time EUR 9.99 purchase in Germany; does not replace the full version. Tor for IMAP, POP3, SMTP and mail.tm. Persistent Only Tor blocks direct Burgmail connections if Tor fails and blocks Google authorization, online server discovery and translation SDK work. Play services and external apps remain outside this mode. Providers still know your account; no complete anonymity guarantee. Additional local recipient/data guards, outgoing previews, private text copies, image metadata cleaning, account privacy profiles and copy/share locks. New private mail list hides names, photos, subjects and previews in lists. Your own private clipboard copies can be cleared when leaving, where Android permits.
