Listen to your text, hear your documents read aloud, and create your own audio files. Okuvia combines text-to-speech with document reading on your Android phone. Choose a voice model, type your text or open a document, and start listening. Once a local model is downloaded, you can generate speech without an internet connection. TEXT TO SPEECH • Read aloud text you type or share with the app. • Select a voice and start listening easily with Quick Mode. • Customize speech generation with Advanced Studio controls. • Adjust speaking speed and preview voices before using them. CREATE AND SHARE AUDIO FILES • Export generated speech as WAV or M4A. • Save audio on your device or share it with other apps. • Create audio from your documents and books. • Manage generated recordings in the in-app archive. LISTEN TO BOOKS AND DOCUMENTS • Open PDF, EPUB, TXT, DOCX, and HTML files. • Resume listening where you left off. • Return to sections using bookmarks. • Listen in the background and use notification playback controls. • Set a sleep timer to stop playback after a chosen time. CHOOSE YOUR VOICE AND MODEL Okuvia offers EMA Lightning, Antalia Mini, Supertonic 3, Piper-plus, Kitten, and Kokoro. Explore available voices in Model Center, download a compatible model, and switch between installed models. You can also use Android TTS voices installed on your phone. Available languages, speakers, and voice settings depend on the selected model or your device's voice provider. SPEECH TO TEXT • Create text by speaking into the microphone. • Use offline Vosk speech recognition when a compatible language model is installed. • Choose an Android speech recognition service available on your device. 40 INTERFACE LANGUAGES Set the interface language independently of the speech language. Choose a light or dark theme to suit your preferences. OFFLINE USE After downloading a local TTS model, speech generation does not require internet access. Initial model downloads use the internet. Offline availability of Android speech recognition and device voices depends on your phone and provider. The 40 languages refer to the app interface; speech synthesis and recognition languages depend on the selected models. DRM-protected documents are not supported.
