It ate my battery. My battery is back to normal now that it's uninstalled. Were you pinging my phone three times a minute or what?
I love this app. Even when I'm not hiking I still use it; it is VERY fun to play with (I know, I'm a little weird). I can see why it's the preferred app for Search and Rescue agencies across the country; the sheer number of ways you can customize maps, waypoints, tracks, search areas... I could go on and on but I'm limited to only 500 letters so... there are a few inconveniences but ultimately the positives outweigh the negatives. I truly and genuinely recommend this app to everyone! (& no ads!)

A lot going on inside the software for an amateur mapper to use. It's a great resource to draw from to learn, practice and teach. My scout troop will benefit this resource.
This is a great application. After three years of use I continue to learn more features that are applicable to my use case, mainly back country travel off trail in mountainous terrain.
