Thanks for the review. Prices for charging are set by each of the charger owners and vary from FREE to around $1 per kWh. These prices take into consideration the cost of energy as well as installation and maintenance costs.
$30 Pre-authorization fee is ridiculous, I've never spent $30 on 1 charge in my EV in the 6 months I've had it. and don't bother replying that its not a fee, the money leaves my account and ends up in yours for anywhere upto 4 weeks before it's returned, that's a fee. 150000 people using charge for every month, that's $4.5 million in Pre-authorization sitting in charge fox's bank account earning interest. that's a scam!!!!

Sorry to hear you're upset about the introduction of pre-authorisation. As you've correctly said this is not a charge and any unused portion of the pre-auth is returned to your account after the session is complete. Usually pre-authorisation is released within 5 business days. If yours is taking 4 weeks I would suggest raising this with your bank.
Zero chargers in their network in my city.
it has a feature to report issues, which requires the selection of an issue topic. however clicking select issue brings up a nice white screen with nothing on it. completely makes the feature non functional.

kept getting errors during the preparing stage that were left completely unexplained and I had to stand there googling it. The app also doesn't display how much your charge has cost so far as you go, which is a deliberate decision on their part that I don't like.

Couldn't get the charger to work dispute following all instructions
The Chargefox app would be much better if it allowed users to sign in with their Google or Apple account. Adding these login options would make the sign in process much quicker and more convenient
