Hi Rick! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're so sorry to hear you are not able to connect to your Joule. Please note that Location/GPS Services required to be turned on for a Bluetooth/BLE scan to be successful & pair. If you still have any issue, please submit a support ticket at support.chefsteps.com to best assist. Thank you!
since changing to the Breville app, I cannot download the new app to my samsung tablet, making my Joule Immersion circulator unusable. This is unacceptable.
So glad I checked out the app BEFORE I purchased the Joule.

After a long while, I decided to use my Joule. I had nothing but issues because I have to use a new app that won't connect. It could be that my Joule is outdated. Instead of using the unit or buying a new one, I use a pot of water with a thermometer and play testing. For a fraction of the cost, I can now have juicy meat. Everything should've stayed simple and compatible and not this terrible mess.

cool
you sent out that update to purposefully make it work worse to push users to breville app... never had connection updates before this update.
