Offline hiking maps with GPS, 3D terrain and trail route options
Find a trail worth taking, then bring the map with you. Hedda Maps helps you explore mountain terrain in 3D, plan a hike and keep your map ready when mobile data is gone. Plan your hike Explore satellite imagery and 3D terrain to understand ridges, valleys and approaches before you leave. Turn trails, peaks, huts, shelters, mountain passes, campsites, natural attractions and other map layers on or off. Tap a destination to highlight a mapped route when one is available. If there are several options, switch between them and compare distance, ascent and steepness. Planning from home? Double-tap the map to set a simulated GPS position and preview routes from that point. Routes and points of interest come from available OpenStreetMap data. Take it offline Download a map to your phone before the hike. You can view it and use your device's real GPS to see your position without a mobile data connection. Creating and downloading new maps requires internet access. Explore more places Start with included Romanian mountain maps, or browse the free map library for places across Europe and beyond. Want a different area? Choose a rectangular region anywhere in the world and request a custom map. You can keep using the app while your map is being prepared. On the free plan, you can create one custom map per week up to 16 x 16 km.
