Fishing Log is a fishing journal and catch tracker for anglers who want to remember what actually worked: species, size, bait, spot and conditions. Your catch log is kept on your phone, not on a public map or a social feed, so your best fishing spots stay yours. Record a catch right after it comes aboard. Pick the species from a searchable freshwater and saltwater list (bass, trout, walleye, pike, catfish, crappie, redfish, snook, tuna and more; "Other" covers anything regional it doesn't list), enter length and weight, choose the lure you tied on from your tackle box, pick the spot, and note the conditions you saw: tide, moon phase, water temperature and a weather note. Add a photo and a line of notes and you're done. WHAT'S IN THE FISHING LOG • A searchable species picker with dozens of freshwater and saltwater fish, plus a free-text fallback. • Full catch details: length, weight, bait or lure, spot, date and time, photo and notes. • Conditions you record yourself. Tide (low, rising, high, falling), water temperature and weather are what you enter; the app does not guess them. Moon phase can be filled in for you, calculated on the phone from the date and time you pick. • Private fishing spots: name each spot, add an optional GPS pin, and keep notes on access and best timing. Spots are never shared and never shown on a public map. • A tackle box for rods, reels, lures and line. Pick a saved lure when you add a catch and your stats show which lure is really producing. • Personal bests for every species, by length and by weight, flagged the moment you set a new one. • Fishing stats that build over the season: total catches, species caught, most-fished spot and most productive bait. • Optional reminders: a nudge a few hours after a trip to fill in bait and conditions while you still remember them, and a heads-up when an upcoming Saturday falls on the moon phase your best catches came on. Opt-in; switch them off in Settings. • Light, dark and system themes, in 10 languages. WHAT'S FREE Save up to 25 catches, keep unlimited spots and gear, and see all of your stats and personal bests at no cost. Editing a saved catch is never limited. The free version shows ads: banners on the main screens and an occasional full-screen ad after you save a catch. WHAT PRO ADDS • Unlimited catches in your logbook (the free plan stops at 25). • AI Insights from your own catch history (5 or more catches): your best time of day, the tide and moon phase your fish favor, and your most productive spot and bait. Built only from your own records, never compared with anyone else's catches. • Export your full catch log as a CSV file. • No ads. Fishing Log Pro is an auto-renewing subscription; plans and prices are shown in the app and vary by region. Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions. YOUR DATA Your catches, spots, gear and photos are saved on your phone. No public feed, no leaderboard: nothing you record is shown to other anglers. You can start as a guest without signing up; the app creates an anonymous account in the background so your subscription works. What does leave the phone: usage analytics and crash reports (Firebase), ad requests in the free version, and, only when a Pro member taps AI Insights, a summary of your catches (species, size, bait, spot name, date and conditions; never GPS coordinates or photos) sent to our server and an AI model to write the report. Deleting your account in the app erases the log on your phone and your account on our server.
