There maybe others but this is the only app I've found that you can use the compass with the phone upright.

Thank you! Version 1.4.34 also fixes a bug where the compass skipped westward directions on some Android phones, so it now turns the full circle.
Useful app for trekking.

Thank you so much for your feedback.
What a cool app! I like knowing my altitude. I have a house in Cripple Creek, CO, and the altitude there is above 9000 feet. It takes its toll on me, so I love the "altitude alert" feature.

Thank you very much for your 5-star review!!!
It would get five if it gave barometric pressure in psi. Even if it was just the average for that location.
Developer reply
psi is in. Update to 1.4.28, then Settings > Pressure Units - psi, inHg, mmHg and kPa are all there. Your Pixel 7 has a barometer, so it reads the real sensor rather than an average for the area. It went in because you asked for it; thank you.
compass doesn't seem to work and you can't change pressure reading type.
Developer reply
Units are in 1.4.28: Settings > Pressure Units, five of them. Fair warning - the A15 has no barometer chip, so there is no live pressure to convert on it. The compass: your phone is not handing the app a heading. We cannot fix that from here, but the tab now says so plainly and gives your GPS course while you move.
pretty accurate
Simple, easy to use. I enjoyed using it to track my elevation on a trip through Missouri, Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, Colorado and Kansas.

Great to use in Peru!

Glad you like it! :)
I’ve been using this altimeter during hiking trips and it works surprisingly well. The altitude updates quickly, the interface is clean, and GPS accuracy is good once the signal is locked. It would be great to have more customization options for the dashboard, but overall it’s a very useful app.
